📚 #NonFictionNovember ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A whole month later, I have returned to posting. Hope y’all are ready to start seeing my face and opinions again 😌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I didn’t envision I was actually going to read any nonfiction this month (excluding anything for work), but when I saw Erin @erinreadswhat tweeting about reading Disability Visibility, I knew I needed the motivation of a buddy read to start. And I’m so glad I did because this book was amazing. As someone who’s chronically ill, so many things resonated with me, and I was exposed to so many frameworks that I had never thought of or been introduced to before. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially those who aren’t disabled. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then the day I finished Disability Visibility, I started Ace and devoured it. It’s hard to describe how much I loved this book, but the dedication alone called to me, and in the first page of text, I knew I was apart of an experience that included me. I learned entire new ways to frame the kind of relationships I want and how to better express the things I want. It was so refreshing to see the way the author broke down compulsory sexuality and how it affects us all. Would definitely recommend this for ace and allos as everyone can gain a better understanding of sexuality from this book, and how better to create a society where sexual relationships don’t have to be the norm, especially legally. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have y’all read any good nonfiction this month?
